At Universal, we have everything your dancer will need for their classes in our uniform shop - from shoes to hair accessories and everything in between!
Below is the required uniform and hair for every class at Universal for Year 1 and above.

Year 1 Let’s Dance Program Uniform and Hair
UNIFORM
Although not compulsory, it is strongly recommended that all students wear UDP uniform in their classes. For year 1 students there are uniform options of a leotard dress, matching crop top and short sets, t-shirts and more!

HAIR
For all classes at UDP, hair is required to be tied up appropriately.
Hair being tied up for classes ensures the health and safety of the children while in dance class, helps students to stay focused with less distractions and promotes unity and discipline within the class.
Hair accessories are available to purchase at the UDP uniform shop for your convenience.

Ballet Attire

Ballet
Below, is the uniform, shoe and hair requirements for all ballet students in Year 2 and above at Universal.
UNIFORM
Although UDP specific uniform is not required, ballet attire is compulsory for all classes. This includes: ballet leotard and salmon pink ballet stockings. Ballet stockings and a variety of leotards are sold at the UDP uniform shop. Ballet wrap skirts are also available, but optional.

HAIR
For all ballet classes hair must be in a ballet bun.
This creates unity and discipline within ballet classes, as well as supporting the health, safety and concentration for all dancers.
Hair accessories are available to purchase at the UDP uniform shop for your convenience.
Ballet Bun
Acrobats
Below, is the uniform, shoe and hair requirements for all acrobats students in Year 2 and above at Universal.
UNIFORM
Although UDP specific uniform is not compulsory, it is a requirement to wear appropriate active wear. At Universal we have crop top and short sets, t-shirts, bike shorts, leggings and more, that can be worn for our acrobats classes.
REQUIRED SHOES
- Black acro shoes
HAIR
For all acrobats classes at UDP it is strongly recommended that hair is tied up in a bun. Otherwise, hair must be tied up appropriately with all hair secured away from dancers face.
This is to ensure the health and safety of all students, particularly in a class like acrobats where students will be practising a lot of different acrobatic skills. This also promotes unity, focus and discipline within classes.

Contemporary

- Year 2-3: no shoes (bare foot)
- Year 4 and above: half ballet shoes
